The United Veterans of Roseville of which VVA 500 is a member hosted their annual Oktoberfest on September 28th. It was well attended with approximately 200 people. President and Mrs. Dennis Kauffman and guests, Secretary and Mrs. Gregory McNeill and guests, Treasurer and Mrs. Bill Wagner, and Board Member Gerard Fields attended. The authentic German food was great and everyone had a good time dancing to the music of the Gary Siebert Band.

The annual Chapter 500 Get-A-Way, held at Scott's Flat was well attended by local Chapter members as well as members that have since moved out of the area. The Honor Guard Dinner was held on Saturday night with members enjoying a steak dinner with all of the trimmings. The traditional toast was given in remembrance of B.T. Collins, Gil Murray and Bill Wolf.
